Les Mis in Columbia was amazing. We were four rows from the stage!
I felt like I was having a pretty good hair day today; plus, it’s the first day of spring. I just wanted to say hi to all my wonderful followers! This is me… I am a real person, and this is my room behind me, where most of my webcam pictures are taken.
So an update on my life right now: I’m so confused as to what i want to do with my life. I almost freaked out this weekend. Wofford offered me $30,000 in scholarships—which is 3/4 of my tuition. After finding out I wasn’t eligible to live in the Health, Education, and Human Development at Clemson a few weeks back I was pretty upset. My major is Pre-Professional Health Studies, which isn’t classified as a health major at Clemson. But after a pep talk from everyone in my family it feels like, and my friend who is also going to Clemson, I’m still going!
I’m sure the people in admissions absolutely loathe my guts. I’ve changed from Graphic Communications to Pre-Professional Health Studies, to attempting and failing at getting my major changed to nursing (if you’re even considering nursing at Clemson, put it as your first choice—not second. They will almost laugh in your face if you expect to get into nursing with it as your second choice.) As of now, I’m considering doing Genetics—which seems pretty promising. I e-mailed Clemson through their contact services to see what they think and inquired about the genetics program. I really need to talk to an advisor or something… I really think I’ll feel 80x better once I’m settled on a major.
I could just stay in Pre-Professional Health Studies and keep a high GPA to transfer into the Nursing program. I really feel the most comfortable about careers after college in Nursing, but I also want to study abroad AND I won’t be able to graduate on time. Which I don’t really mind, but I doubt my scholarships will cover it. Genetics seems cool, but I am a little worried about job placement, and if I wanted to make good money I’d need to go to grad school—or even med school.
But aside from my ramblings about my major, I already went ahead and got my college bedding. It’s orange, white, and grey, and I bought an accent pillow with arrows (like arrows from a bow and arrow). I think it’s pretty symbolic: high school sucks and I feel pretty down, but college has so much in store for me that i’m only headed forward and never looking back.
Mi amiga elizabeth. Please excuse my double chin… Christmas was unforgiving this year
